I can't tell you how refreshing it was to be back with my old consultant, Molly on Saturday. She just knows me and my body. I'll be pretty devestated if she ever leaves JC. I don't have to give her my history and she doesn't have to experiment with things when I am plateauing that she knows actually cause an increase for me while for most it would cause a loss. She knows that too much exercise in a week cause a weight gain...so does when I'm on anti-biotics, I'm sensitive to sugar and sodium (and ever since the baby she thinks it will be a long time until this becomes more leveled out in my body). I told her that the other consultant didn't really approve of my focus on a number when I'm already thin. She completely understood. She said to me, "Katie, I know it's not about the "number" for you; it's about achieving your goal and being able to say, I did it!" She said we will do whatever it takes to get me there so I can feel that I achieved what I set out to do just less than a year ago. This made me encouraged and motivated. I'm a goal setter and "planner." She always develops a plan of attack for me and if it doesn't work she looks to try something new. She definitely wanted me off the extra milk and she wants me to do a week on my own then another week of a strict 1200 caloric planned meal to keep my metabolism "busy." I love feeling like my consultant cares and isn't looking down on me for trying to reach 125 at the JC Centre since this is the goal I set. It still continues to be so important to have positive, supportive people in your life even when you are at the final portion of the weight loss process.
